Louise Misha was born in Paris in 2012, from the imagination of Marie Pidancet, who dreamed of bringing poetry to her nieces' wardrobes. Since its creation, the designer brand has been inspired by the bohemian spirit of its founder: a vision inherited from her poet grandfather and her infinitely free, itinerant artist grandmother, the famous “Louise”, our first bohemian muse.
With the help of her childhood friend and business partner Claire Moulin, Marie keeps on weaving this bohemian journey day after day, guided by so much gentleness, curiosity and open-mindedness. It's an extraordinary human adventure that brings together a close-knit, caring team, talented and respectful workshops, exceptional skills and a love of handmade, and faithful customers who make Louise Misha's heart beat faster.
My grand-father, Jean Lauden was a poet and art critic with a passion for African art. I grew up surrounded by the pieces he loved, and at a very young age i developed this love of elsewhere, this taste for travel even while staying at home, and this passion folklore and craftsmanship. That's why I give so much importance to the details of Louise Misha's pieces: the result of specific, sometimes forgotten know-how, they give birth to unique garments, endowed with character and soul, and thus pay tribute to exceptional traditional cultures.”
